Big Brothers and Big Sisters

The Pals program is run by OICs and the cadet staff in conjunction with Big
Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County . This program allows cadets to serve
as mentors to children on the waiting list for a big brother or sister in
Orange County. Members simply serve as friends and positive influences. During
the activities, the children tend to open up to the cadets and really listen
to what theyhave to offer the child. It is this ‘one-to-one’ relationship
that helps to sculpt a child from an oftentimes broken home. The trips include
those to the YMCA Ropes Course, Six Flags Great Adventure, Army football game,
ice skating, the Bronx Zoo and many more. This club runs activities about
once a month, and it can certainly change a child’s life forever!
