In January 2002, the Cadet Glee Club was privileged to record the original hymn, Mansions of the Lord, by Randall Wallace and Nick Glennie-Smith for the closing credits of the Paramount feature film, We Were Soldiers. The film is based on the book by LTG (ret.) Harold Moore and Joe Galloway, We Were Soldiers Once and Young. Mr. Wallace generously brought one of the film's premieres to the U.S. Military Academy, General Moore's alma mater. Dan Rather of 60 Minutes accompanied the cast and crew to the Academy and produced a segment that aired on the CBS program.
