The OCF House
Highland Falls, NY

The OCF Fellowship House is the home of OCF Staff Representatives Cheri and Tom Austin, located in Highland Falls a short distance from Thayer Gate. Throughout the year, the Austin's use their house as a place where ministry takes place in many forms, ranging from hosting fellowship activities and mini-retreats to housing guests and being a "home away from home" to the OCF cadets and their friends. Its not too late to grab tickets for the banquet. If you plan on attending the banquet but are on pass or if you have guests coming, make sure you talk to Cheri or Tom!

Guidelines from Cheri and Tom
- Because this is our home, we would ask that you kindly knock or ring the VERY LOUD doorbell before coming in. You can be sure you will be greeted with enthusiasm.
- You are welcome to stop by if you are in the neighborhood, but often we have folks here or may be in the middle of a particular project or deadline. If you have a minute to give us a heads up you are coming by, it will make our time together much more profitable. Plus, then we can put on the coffee or get out the ice cream.
- Overnight stays are by prior arrangement only. This will result in much better use of space and will allow us to be prepared. We understand that you are quite comfortable with crashing on the couch, but we are going to have to say ...sorry! To request an overnight stay for you or your guests please email Cheri and Tom at ocfaustins@gmail.com
- On special event weekends priority for staying overnight is given to out-of-town guests of cadets. Generally that is on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will let you know when we are open to take reservations for certain weekends. On non-special event weekends, we will indicate on the monthly Fellowship House calendar when there are open weekends that cadets can make reservations to spend the night.
- If you want to come over for counseling or prayer, this is a high priority. Call and let us know that it is your wish and we will be more than happy to come and get you or be sure we can arrange a time to meet. If you can't get off campus, we will come to YOU.
- We will designate certain days or evenings for game nights or movie nights or we will open the barn and just say, "Y'all come" Be watching the calendar for special events on Fall Saturdays.
- When we are out of town, the Fellowship House is always closed. There could be a reason to make an exception, but this is generally the case and we will let you know through the calendar when we will be out of town.
- House protocol:
- When the weather is wet or snowy, please remove your shoes when you come in. We're trying very hard to keep the house clean and in good repair.
- Cadets who have dates or opposite gender guests staying at the house are to remain on the first floor if there are overnight guests on the second floor.
- Cadets who have parents staying are certainly allowed to go upstairs to your parent's rooms - we would just ask that you first make sure that no other guests are getting ready and may be "surprised" to see a guy in the hall.
- You are always welcome to bring extra muchies or drinks when you come - NOT REQUIRED, but oh so appreciated!
- Most of all, we want you to know how much we love you and want to be there to laugh with you, cry with you, have fun with you, and pray with you and give you lots of HUGS.
