What is the Cadet Mountaineering Team (CMT)?

The Cadet Mountaineering Team is a Club Team at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Members climb around the West Point area as well as various places around the country.

How can I join the CMT? The CMT conducts try-outs at the beginning of each academic year based on strength, good standing in the corps, previous climbing ability, and a climbing demonstration for a current member of the team.
How often does the team practice? The CMT practices every day, but during the intramural season only certain Regiments can attend due to things like Drill and other Company requirements. Outside the intramural season, the team practices Monday-Thursday officially, but each team member normally can be found out on the rock on the weekends or in the wall during Winter.
Where can I get more information on the team?

Head on over to the team positions page to find a list of people to contact. That, or find anyone on the team and ask!
