STRINGS - 500th NIGHT PERFORMANCE The Army Strings provided music for the Class of 2008 at their 500th night banquet in the Cadet Mess Hall, as well as at the Commandant’s reception at his quarters on Saturday, 20JAN07. The quartet was led by CIC Christine Murray (’07, viola) and included Billy Huang (’09) and Derek Voight (’09) on violin and Rachel Hoener (’09) on cello. The classical music was a perfect background for the two events and the Commandant, BG(P) Caslen as well as the guest of honor (Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) both gave the quartet coins in appreciation for their performance. |
