The International Cadets of West
Point Club consists of cadets from many different countries. Each
of the foreign cadets remains at the Academy for the entire duration
of the "West Point Experience" and is granted the same status as a
cadet appointed from the United States. All the foreign national
cadets represent the very best of their respective countries and are
the true ambassadors and representatives of their
respective nations. The diversity of nationalities, cultures, and
languages provide cadets with an opportunity to develop knowledge
and awareness of other cultures. Each year the Club conducts
various activities in order to promote cultural awareness and
strengthen the bonds of international cooperation on all levels.
Among the most popular activities are the annual visit of the
International Ball at the United States Naval Academy,
soccer games against the DFL faculty, Coast Guard Academy exchanges, and a visit to
Washington DC where cadets get an opportunity to visit their
embassies and interact with other members of the international
community. The Club cooperates closely with the International
Midshipmen and Cadets of the other Academies, and hosts them during
their West Point visits. |
