Team Traditions:
Call Signs: Every Team member earns their own call sign similar to pilots in the Air Force/Navy. Names are chosen by the rest of the team and reflect something humorous about him. Call signs are earned and assigned during Yuk year.
Whackers: New Team members are referred to as Whackers until the new plebes are chosen. The origins and meaning of this term are unknown.
Dry Suits: Whackers dive wet until the middle to end of first semester Yuk year.
Tryouts: Yearlings are responsible for planning and running tryouts for the incoming Whackers.
CIC: The CIC is chosen by the Team prior to Spring Break.
