Are you for the scuba?
The USMA Scuba team is an organization of cadets dedicated to fun and safe diving through proper instruction and certification. The team members are all NAUI certified scuba divers, and during each training session all students will be accompanied by a certified Instructor, Dive Master, and Advanced Open Water divers.
Each year the USMA Scuba Team certifies about 200 new divers and provides additional training in Dry Suit, Nitrox, and Advanced Open Water diving.
When and where are the classes?
Classes are typically held on Club Nights (Monday and Tuesday) and will run about two hours, depending on which class you are taking. We utilize Crandall Pool, at West Point, for our pool training and Dutch Springs dive park for our open water dives.
What about all the stuff?
Divers can use, or purchase, their own equipment for any of the classes they may wish to take, however, the Team will furnish any equipment needed for all students enrolled in the class.
