Cameron Simaz
 
Associate Head Coach for Wrestling
 
Cameron Simaz is in his first year as the Associate Head Coach of the USMAPS Wrestling Program.
 
Coach Simaz is also the Head Coach of the West Point Wrestling Club and the West Point Regional Training Center.  Prior to USMAPS, he was a Resident Coach for the Wildcat Wrestling Club from 2015 to 2017 located in Evanston, Illinois, and the Head Coach for the Finger Lakes Wrestling Club centered in Ithaca, NY from 2012 to 2015. 
 
A nationally recognized wrestler hailing from Allegan, Michigan, Coach Simaz was a four time NCAA Division I Wrestling All-American and National Champion for Cornell University.  While Coach Simaz was a member and Team Captain of Cornell’s wrestling team, the Big Red earned NCAA team finishes of 5th, 4th, and garnered national runner-up honors twice.

  • Cornell Senior Athlete of the Year (2012)
  • Cornell’s Peter J. Floros Memorial Award (Most Valuable Wrestler (2012)
  • Cornell’s Andy Noel Leadership Award (2012)
  • Cornell’s Russ Martin Outstanding Freshman Award (2009)
  • Ivy League Rookie of the Year (2009)
 
Cameron Simaz graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in 2012.  Professionally he distinguished himself as a proprietary trader in Upstate New York and Chicago.  Coming from a proud wrestling family, Cameron’s older brother Eric wrestled and graduated from Central Michigan University, and his younger brother Taylor wrestled and graduated from Cornell University.  His youngest brother Kyle is a junior currently wrestling for Cornell University.  Cameron resides in Highland Falls, NY.
