This is a small club with the following goals:
- Promote civil engineering as a USMA major for CCs.
- Give CCs a “Boots on the Ground” background in problem solving and CE design within a historical setting.
- Provide some off-post weekend activities for CCs with other CCs interested in civil engineering.
- Provide a basic understanding of the historical development of civil engineering problem solving before we had computers, calculators, and machinery.
- Allow CCs to interact with people who emphasize experience over theory.
I’m your faculty advisor. If there is anything I can do to further your education or college goals, please ask. Our post library can support your research efforts through the interlibrary loan system, which allows you to request civil engineering texts from almost any US library, and receive the text within 10 days. I have a USMA catalog available for you to use to research your major. My office is in room 224 of the Academic Building.
