Remi serves as an Academy Professor, Sociology Program Director, and Associate Professor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership at the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point, New York.  This is his second assignment on the USMA faculty.   

Remi resides at West Point with his wonderful family.  His wife serves as a teacher, volleyball coach, and play director at the West Point Middle School.  His daughters partake in lacrosse, volleyball, track and field, choir, band, skiing, and other extracurriculars.
Remi grew up in the Chicagoland area and is a native of Wheaton, Illinois.  He is a 1993 USMA graduate (BS&L major: leadership).  He holds a PhD (sociology) from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.  Some of his previous professional roles include serving as a military advisor in Iraq, targeting intelligence officer in Afghanistan, Cavalry Squadron intelligence officer, company commander (twice), and director of an army culture center.  He has served at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; Fort Huachuca, Arizona; the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York; the International Security Assistance Force in Kabul, Afghanistan; and the Multinational Security and Transition Command in Baghdad, Iraq.
Remi enjoys fishing, strategy games, sports, skiing, movies, and his family and friends.
