MAJ Dan Eerhart commissioned as a Distinguished Military Graduate into the Armor Branch in 2013. He served as a platoon leader in 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, and later as a troop executive officer and squadron logistics officer for 2nd Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment. He subsequently completed assessment and selection and was reassigned to U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), where he commanded a Sensitive Activities Detachment and later Detachment 8A40 as part of Joint Special Operations Task Force–Arabian Peninsula.

He earned a master’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and served as a research scientist at the Army Cyber Institute. Prior to joining the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership at the United States Military Academy, he served as the operations officer (S-3) to the Dean.

His academic and professional interests include cybersecurity and data analytics, and he holds multiple certifications in both areas. He is proficient in Korean, Dutch, and Spanish.
