CPT Caddell is the course director for DS455, Comparative Defense Policy, and the Operations Officer for the Modern War Institute (MWI).
After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2008, Jessica commissioned as a Military Intelligence Officer. Upon completion of the Basic Officer Leader Course, Jessica joined the 502d MI BN, 201st Battlefield Surveillance Brigade (BfSB) and deployed to Sadr City, Iraq as a Multi-Function Platoon Leader from 2009-2010. Upon redeployment, Jessica served as the Assistant Operations Officer for eight months.
After completion of the Military Intelligence Captains’ Career Course, Jessica joined the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Currahee) and deployed to Khost Province, Afghanistan as the Battalion Intelligence Officer (S2) for 2-506 Infantry Battalion. Upon redeployment, Jessica commanded the Intelligence and Sustainment Company, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).
Jessica holds a Master of Law and Diplomacy (MALD) from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Her areas of academic interest include International Relations, Russia and Eurasia Conflict, Intelligence, and Security Policy.
Jessica’s awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Air Assault Badge.
