Dan Furlong is an Instructor on the Combatives Committee in the Department of Physical Education at the United States Military Academy. He graduated from St. John’s University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Administration. He also holds a Master of Arts in Biomechanics from the University of Connecticut. Mr. Furlong has also worked as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach with the New York Knicks and has been the Host Trainer for College Basketball Events at Madison Square Garden since 1992.

Other courses of instruction he teaches include Personal Foundations in Fitness, as well as Strength Development. Mr. Furlong has completed Level 1 of the U.S. Army Combative Certification Course and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Furlong is a Coordinator in the Competitive Sports Office in the Department of Physical Education, working specifically with Company Athletics.
