CPT Anthony Tankiewicz is originally from Tacoma, WA. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2008 with a B.S. in Management, and was commissioned an Aviation Officer. CPT Tankiewicz qualified as a UH-60A/L Blackhawk pilot and served as a Flight Platoon Leader, Assistant S3, and Brigade Adjutant while stationed at Ft. Hood in the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade. While serving at the 1st ACB, CPT Tankiewicz deployed for 12 months to RC-North in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Upon departing the 1st ACB, CPT Tankiewicz attended the Captains Career Course at Ft. Rucker. After the career course CPT Tankiewicz was assigned to 4th CAB at Ft. Carson as the Assistant S3. Shortly after CPT Tankiewicz became the Company Commander for A Co., 2-4 General Support Aviation Battalion and took his Company downrange in support of Operation Resolute Support. Immediately after command, CPT Tankiewicz returned from Afghanistan to attend graduate school at University of Virginia where he received a Master’s of Education in Kinesiology. CPT Tankiewicz serves as an Aquatics and PE450 instructor and Regimental Guidance Officer in DPE. He is happily married to the former Ali Christoph and they have two dogs, Belle and Wassuti.
