MAJ Tyler Patterson grew up in Arlington, TX and graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2005.  MAJ Patterson served as a Rifle Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer while assigned to A/2-27 Infantry "The Wolfhounds" in 3rd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, HI.  He deployed as a Platoon Leader in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM for 15 months 2006-2007.  After completing the Maneuver Captain's Career Course, MAJ Patterson was assigned to 2nd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division in Fort Lewis, WA where he served as an assistant Operations Officer and then Commander of A/2-1 Infantry and then HHT/8-1 Cavalry.  He deployed to Afghanistan in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM from 2009-2010 and again from 2012-2013.  MAJ Patterson completed his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology at the University of Virginia in 2014 and is currently assigned to the United States Military Academy as a Testing Officer and an instructor of Military Movement (PE 117), Army Fitness Development (PE 450), Snowboarding (PE256), and SCUBA (PE250).
