MAJ Juan Ramos received his commision from the United States Military Academy in 2006 as a Signal Officer and was assigned to the 307th Integrated Signal Battalion at Fort Richardson Alaska in support of the Pacific Theater. There he served as a platoon leader in Alpha Company, 307th ITSB, of an Area Node and Baseband Node section and later, as an Operations and Executive Officer. He was later assigned in 2009 to the 59th Signal Battalion where he enabled mission command for Joint, DoD, and U.S. Army Alaska (USARAK) organizations within Alaska. In 2010, after completing the Captains Career Course he was assigned and deployed with the 3-71 Calvary Regiment, 3rd BDE Combat Team, 10th Mountain to southern Afghanistan. MAJ Ramos later took command of A Co. 741st MI Battalion and stood up C Co. 742nd MI Battalion in 2013. He later served as a network engineer and performed other roles and duties within the NSA. MAJ Ramos is currently serving as the G-6 CIO operations officer and as an instructor with the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at the United States Military Academy. MAJ Ramos' education includes the Basic Officer Leaders Course, Signal Officer Basic Course, Signal Officer Captain Career Course, Command and General Staff College, U.S. Army Airbone School, and the Fort Drum Light Fighter Air Assault School.
