MAJ Jason LeVay enlisted in 1990 as an infantryman and served with the 4th RTB, 1st BN 505th PIR; he was later selected and served as a Special Forces Engineer with 1st SFG (A). He left active duty and served with 19th SPG (A) WANG. His ODA moved with 3rd ID during the attack north in the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Graduating from the University of Washington with a BA in History and Comparative Religions, he commissioned as a Distinguished Military Graduate from the ROTC. Jason served as a rifle platoon leader with A CO, 2nd BN (A), 503rd IN in Kunar Afghanistan, during OEF VII-VIII. He also served as an assistant operations officer and battalion S-1 for the 75th Ranger Regiment STB and deployed as part of a Joint Fusion Cell in 2009. At Fort Carson he was the 1st BDE 4th ID FUOPS, and commanded B CO, 1st BN, 66th AR. In 2015 he graduated with a MA in History from Yale University.
