Desert Shield / Desert Storm History Class 
GEN (R) Frederick M. Franks, Visiting Scholar and The Class of 1966 Chair for the Professional Military Ethic, taught a history class on the 25th Anniversary of Desert Shield / Desert Storm to Cadets majoring in History.  GEN (R) Franks commanded the VIIth United States Army Corps and in early November 1990, GEN (R) Franks was ordered to deploy the Corps to Saudi Arabia to join the international coalition preparing to drive Iraqi forces from Kuwait. On 24 February 1991, the Desert Storm land assault began, with VIIth Corps making the main attack.
