MAJ John Chambers, is an instructor of American Politics in the Department of Social Sciences at the United States Military Academy. He is an Engineer officer with eleven years of service including a combat deployment to Baghdad, Iraq during the 2007 “Surge” and a no-notice deployment to Haiti as part of the Global Response Force following the 2010 earthquake. He served as the Task Force Engineer for 2-325 AIR, a Sapper Platoon Leader and Executive Officer in 2 BCT, 82nd Airborne, and commanded the US Army’s Sapper Leader Course and the 509th Clearance Company. Additionally, he and his teammate won the US Army’s 2011 Best Sapper Competition.
MAJ Chambers holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy, an MS in Engineering Management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He is also a certified Project Management Professional.
MAJ Chambers is married with two children.
