Visiting West Point

 


Please Note: Visitors may take a nominally priced guided bus tour of the Academy grounds departing from the West Point Visitors Center. Entrance is allowed for business, for visiting staff, faculty and cadets who live on West Point, and for public events such as concerts, sporting events, cadet reviews and graduation.

 

Access to West Point (Click here) (For those not taking a West Point tour.) Please note: Foreign nationals without a qualified escort may only access West Point by taking a West Point tour.

Tour information 

U.S. Citizens: All visitors age 16 and older signing up to take a bus tour of West Point MUST provide valid photo identification such as; a current valid driver's license or passport, or school ID (must be school-age). Each individual, age 16 and older, must present their own form of identification. No tour guide may bring in ID bundles for the group. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Acceptable alternate forms of identification are a U.S. passport, a permanent resident card/Alien Registration Receipt (form 1-551), a foreign passport with a temporary I-551 stamp or visa or an employment authorization document that contains a photograph (Form I-766).

Foreign Nationals:​ All visitors, no matter their age, signing up to take a bus tour of West Point MUST provide a valid passport and visa. No tour guide may bring in ID bundles for the group. Each individual, age 16 and older, must present their own form of identification. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. ​

Outside tour groups should contact the Academy's official tour contractor, West Point Tours, Inc., at (845) 446-4724. Manifests must be provided for groups at least 48 hours in advance.

Please allow additional time to enter the post if coming for well-attended events such as football games and concerts.
