West Point Scholars Program
West Point runs several programs focused on helping cadets prepare for and win prestigious scholarships. These programs are very successful in helping cadets earn opportunities for advanced study in pursuit of their goals and facilitating their progress on the path to becoming leaders of character. Cadets pursuing these scholarships must be sponsored by the West Point Scholars Program.
EXCEL Scholars Program
The Excel Scholars Program is a diversity initiative focused on promoting the personal and professional excellence of high-performing cadets from historically underrepresented groups and preparing them to compete for key leadership positions and acceptance into the Graduate Scholars Program, Technical Scholars Program, or Pre-Medical School Scholars Program.
The Excel Scholars Program also runs the National GEM Consortium Graduate Fellowship program for West Point.
Graduate Scholarship Program
The Graduate Scholarship Program is West Point’s official sponsor for cadets competing for prestigious scholarships such as the Rhodes, Marshall, and Fulbright.
The Scholarship Program’s curriculum, mentorship, and outreach enable cadets who demonstrate exceptional service, leadership, and scholarship to reach their potential as thoughtful leaders in the Army and for the nation.
Pre-Medical School Scholarship Program
The Pre-Medical School Scholarship Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Chemistry and Life Sciences, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor for medical scholarships such as the Health Professions Scholarship Program and Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences scholarship.
Technical Scholars Program
The Technical Scholars Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor for all technical scholarships and fellowships, including the Churchill scholarship, the Draper Scholar Program, and the Purdue Military Research Institute Fellowship.
Undergraduate Scholarships - Available to Sophomores or Juniors
Service academy cadets' sponsorship is valued at approximately $5,000, exclusively for the scholar's professional development. The Technical Scholar Program nominates cadets to compete. Institutionally supported finalists will be nominated to the ASF committee for final selection.
The Technical Scholars Program (TSP) is the executive agent for the Astronaut Scholarship. The Technical Scholars Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor for all technical scholarships and fellowships.
Although no funds are awarded to West Point cadets, the Goldwater Scholarship is a prestigious undergraduate scholarship in the natural sciences, mathematics, and engineering. The Technical Scholar Program nominates up to four cadets annually. Applicants are screened in their Third- or Second- Class year by the Technical Scholars Program.
The Technical Scholars Program (TSP) is the executive agent for the Goldwater Scholarship. The Technical Scholars Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor for all technical scholarships and fellowships.
This scholarship provides for a generous enrichment grant for cadets of any discipline to use during their time as cadets. The Graduate Scholarship Program nominates cadets from across the Academy based on potential for research and civic impact. Applicants are screened in their Third- or Second-Class year (by the Graduate Scholarship Program).

This scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship for college sophomores and juniors who demonstrate leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to Native American nations or to the environment. The Graduate Scholarship Program nominates cadets from across the Academy as applicable.

Graduate Scholarships - Available to Juniors or Seniors
This fellowship provides full tuition for one-year master's degrees in counter-terrorism and homeland security, or diplomacy and conflict studies, at the IDC Herzliya's Raphael Recanati International School in Israel. Applicants are screened in their SecondClass year by the Graduate Scholarship Program.
The Graduate Scholarship Program (GSP) is the executive agent for the Anna Sobol Levy Fellowship. The Graduate Scholarship Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Social Sciences, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor of scholarships for all disciplines.
This scholarship provides full tuition for a two-year bachelor’s (second BA), master’s (BPhil. or MPhil.) program, or two one-year MSt. programs. Applicants are screened in their Second-Class year by the Graduate Scholarship Program.

This scholarship provides full tuition for master’s degrees in international relations and politics, or information technology strategy, from Carnegie Mellon’s Institute for Politics and Strategy. Applicants are screened in their Second-Class year by the Graduate Scholarship Program.

This scholarship provides full tuition for a year of master’s study in Science, Mathematics, or Engineering based at Churchill College. Applicants require an Institutional Letter of Recommendation. Applicants are screened in their First-Class year by the Technical Scholars Program.
The Technical Scholars Program (TSP) is the executive agent for the Churchill Scholarship. The Technical Scholars Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor for all technical scholarships and fellowships.
This fellowship provides full tuition for M.S. study in technical areas in engineering and the sciences. All Draper Fellows have an opportunity to participate in a mentor matching program. Applicants are screened in their First-Class year by the Technical Scholars Program.

This grant provides funding for two years of graduate study leading to a master's degree at the East-West Center of the University of Hawaii. Specific programs of study focus on culture and communications, resource systems, population, and environmental policy in the Asia-Pacific region. Applicants are screened in their Second-Class year by the Graduate Scholarship Program.

This scholarship provides funding to pursue a one- or two-year graduate degree in more than 140 countries. Applicants choose one country to apply to based on their research interests and language capabilities. Applicants are screened in their Second-Class year by the Graduate Scholarship Program.

This scholarship provides full tuition to pursue any one-to-three-year master’s program of choice at the University of Cambridge. Applicants are screened in their Second-Class year by the Graduate Scholarship Program.
The Graduate Scholarship Program (GSP) is the executive agent for the Gates-Cambridge Scholarship. The Graduate Scholarship Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Social Sciences, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor of scholarships for all disciplines.
This scholarship provides funds for postgraduate study at a state or state-recognized university in Germany, or the first or second year of study at a state or state-recognized German university as part of a postgraduate or master’s degree program that is completed in the home country or another foreign country. The scholarship offers between 10 and 24 months of funding, depending on the length of the chosen program. Applicants are screened in their Second-Class year by the Graduate Scholarship Program.
The Graduate Scholarship Program (GSP) is the executive agent for the German Academic Exchange Office (DAAD) Scholarship. The Graduate Scholarship Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Social Sciences, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor of scholarships for all disciplines.
This scholarship provides full tuition for medical school. Scholarship recipients are placed on inactive reserve status as second lieutenants during their medical training. While on scholarship, the Army pays for expenses as described in the WPSP SOP. Applicants are screened in their First-Class year by the Pre-Medical School Scholarship Program.
Medical School Scholarship Program (PSSP) is the executive agent of the Health Professionals Scholarship Program. The Pre-Medical School Scholarship Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Chemistry and Life Sciences, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor for medical scholarships.
This fellowship provides funding for up to five years of study leading to a Ph.D. in the Applied Sciences at selected universities. This scholarship is deferrable. Applicants are screened in their First-Class year by the Technical Scholars Program.
The Technical Scholars Program (TSP) is the executive agent for the Hertz Foundation Fellowship. The Technical Scholars Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor for all technical scholarships and fellowships.
This scholarship provides funding to pursue any graduate degree at Stanford University. In select circumstances, pre-medical program students may apply for a M.D/Ph.D. Applicants require an Institutional Letter of Recommendation. Applicants are screened in their Second-Class year by the Graduate Scholarship Program.
The Graduate Scholarship Program (GSP) is the executive agent for the Knight-Hennessy Scholarship. The Graduate Scholarship Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Social Sciences, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor of scholarships for all disciplines.
This scholarship provides for at least two years of study leading to at least one master's or equivalent degree at a university in the United Kingdom. There are no restrictions on the field of study chosen. Applicants require an Institutional Letter of Recommendation. Applicants are screened in their Second-Class year by the Graduate Scholarship Program.
The Graduate Scholarship Program (GSP) is the executive agent for the Marshall Scholarship. The Graduate Scholarship Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Social Sciences, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor of scholarships for all disciplines.
This scholarship provides funding for graduate school studies. Military Fellows must be either enrolled in a graduate degree program that requires a thesis, sponsored by Training with Industry, or sponsored by their respective service for Senior Service School. Applicants are screened in their First-Class year by the Technical Scholars Program.

This scholarship provides funding for one year of study at any university in Ireland or Northern Ireland leading to a master’s degree. Applicants require an Institutional Letter of Recommendation. Applicants are screened in their Second-Class year by the Graduate Scholarship Program.
The Graduate Scholarship Program (GSP) is the executive agent for the Mitchell Scholarship. The Graduate Scholarship Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Social Sciences, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor of scholarships for all disciplines.
This scholarship provides funding for underrepresented students to earn a master’s degree in applied science or engineering. Applicants are screened in their First-Class year by the Excel Scholars Program.

The Excel Scholars Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Systems Engineering, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor for the National GEM Consortium Graduate Fellowship program.
This fellowship provides for three years of study leading to a master's or doctoral degree in the mathematical, physical, biological, engineering, or social sciences, or in the history and philosophy of sciences. This scholarship is deferrable. Applicants are screened in their First-Class year by the Technical Scholars Program.

The Technical Scholars Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor for all technical scholarships and fellowships.
This fellowship provides funding for up to two years of graduate study to earn an M.S. Applicants are screened in their First-Class year by the Technical Scholars Program.

This scholarship provides for two to three years of study at Oxford University in England. Applicants require an Institutional Letter of Recommendation. Applicants are screened in their Second-Class year by the Graduate Scholarship Program.
The Graduate Scholarship Program (GSP) is the executive agent for the Rhodes Scholarship. The Graduate Scholarship Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Social Sciences, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor of scholarships for all disciplines.
This scholarship provides funding for one or two years of study for a master’s degree at any accredited university, in any country that has a Rotary club. Applicants are screened in their Second-Class year by the Graduate Scholarship Program.
The Graduate Scholarship Program (GSP) is the executive agent for the Rotary Scholarship. The Graduate Scholarship Program, housed in and supervised by the Department of Social Sciences, serves as an executive agent and official sponsor of scholarships for all disciplines.
This scholarship provides $90,000 for up to three years of graduate study at any graduate program in the U.S. To apply, cadets must be a U.S. citizen under 30 who is either an immigrant, the child of two immigrant parents, a naturalized citizen, a permanent resident, a DACA recipient, or adopted from outside the United States. Applicants are screened in their Second-Class year by the Graduate Scholarship Program.

This scholarship provides funding for any one-year master’s degree at the University of Southampton. Applicants are screened in their Second-Class year by the Graduate Scholarship Program.

This scholarship provides a $30,000 grant to support undergraduate academic endeavors and two years of graduate study leading to a master's degree at any accredited university in the world. Studies should prepare the candidate for public service; i.e., careers in the military, government, public administration, public health, international relations and diplomacy, social services, education and human resource development, or conservation and environmental protection. Applicants require an Institutional Letter of Recommendation. Applicants are screened and awarded in their Third-Class year by the Graduate Scholarship Program.*
